Educational Groups and Workshops
Mindfulness- based Stress Reduction
The MBSR program is an eight-week evidence-based program that teaches mindfulness meditation and gentle movement practices to help participants manage stress and enhance well-being. Grounded in decades of scientific research, the course cultivates nonjudgemental present-moment awareness, supporting greater resilience, balance, and mental clarity. Through guided instruction, group learning, and daily life-integration, participants develop practical skills to meet life’s challenges in order to transform, rather than transmit, the pain and suffering that are part and parcel of the human experience.
Eating Disorder Awareness and Prevention
A workshop offered within the community in order to bring awareness about the prevalence and dangers of eating disorders within our culture. This is offered to help churches, schools, the medical community, the dance community, and anyone else who impacts our children and teens around body image and diet culture. In this 3 hour workshop, Elizabeth teaches how to create and promote a healthy relationship with food and our bodies. She begins the tedious, difficult work of challenging the cultural notions around dieting. If you have children or work with children in any capacity, this workshop is for you.
